For years my relationship with food and my body controlled my life. Chronic dieting, restriction, bingeing, emotional eating, macro tracking, overexercising, body image struggles… I lived all of it. And one of the hardest parts? I felt completely alone in it. On the outside I was high-achieving and put together. On the inside I was exhausted and ashamed.
The longer I stayed stuck in the yo-yo cycle, the less hope I had that freedom was even possible. I thought if I just had more willpower, I would finally feel in control, and that control would lead me to the body and the life I wanted.
Everything changed when I found intuitive eating and began inviting God into my healing. I started implementing these principles and over time food began to lose its power. The binge urges stopped.
